Each book is hand-wrapped in smooth, solid matte art paper, spine and covers alike, so that nothing remains but pure, considered color. No spine text, no visual noise, only clean lines and a single tone that anchors a room, completes a palette and lends everything around it a sharper, more intentional beauty. Designers composing a room in color reach for them, as do stylists who need a shelf to read as one confident gesture, in modern homes, retail spaces, offices and photography sets alike.

The Collection

The underlying books are quality hardcovers in previously owned condition, selected for size rather than content and standing 8 to 10 inches tall, a classic height that layers gracefully across shelves and consoles. Each linear foot includes approximately 10 books.

Choose from twenty colors, from quiet whites and ivories to deep graphite, indigo, ivy and bright red. Order a single color for a seamless field, or combine several to compose a graduated palette entirely your own.

Each order is hand-wrapped for you. Please allow four weeks for production. For orders of more than 10 feet, colors not shown, or specific project needs, please write to clientservices@junipercustom.com.

What are paper-wrapped books?
They are real hardcover books, chosen for their size and shape, then hand-wrapped in matte art paper that covers the spine and both covers entirely. The result is a clean, solid block of color with no visible titles, made to be seen rather than read.

Can I see the paper colors before I order?
Yes. Our Paper Sample Packets include a 4" × 4" swatch of every color we offer and ship free within the United States, so you can match your palette with confidence before committing.

How many feet of books do I need?
Measure the width of each shelf in inches and divide by twelve to find the linear feet. At approximately 10 books per foot, a standard 36-inch shelf holds about 3 feet, or roughly 30 books. If you plan to leave room for objects and accessories, simply order a little less.
