Some of the most meaningful things we own are those made for us alone. A Full Custom book set is conceived around your taste, your history and your vision, from the first conversation to the finished shelf. Working with one to ten books, our curators find the right titles, and if a book is available only in paperback, we can have it bound in hardcover. Our designers then create jackets that realize your vision with precision and artistry, drawing on the craft our sister company, Juniper Books, has refined over more than 25 years.

The Process

1. Begin with a deposit. Click "Get Started with a Deposit" and proceed to checkout.
2. We reach out within 2 business days to discuss your title selections and design preferences, including anything from our portfolio that caught your eye.
3. Research and design. Our curators research titles and availability while a designer prepares your initial design concept. This typically takes 1 to 2 weeks.
4. Your proposal. We present an estimate and design concept outlining the full scope, cost and timeline.
5. Approval. If you accept, we send an invoice before acquiring the books and finalizing the design.

Your deposit is deducted in full from the total project estimate.

What kinds of books can a custom set include?
Nearly anything: beloved childhood titles reimagined in a beautiful new jacket, an author's complete works, or a set built around a passion, a place or a period in history. If a title proves elusive, our team will find a way.

How involved will I be in the design?
As involved as you wish. Some clients arrive with a clear vision and specific references; others simply want something beautiful and trust our designers to lead. Either way, we refine the concept until it feels entirely right.

What occasions inspire a custom set?
