Juniper Custom curates home office libraries that are as considered as the work done within them. You bring the shelves. We bring the books: chosen for you, arranged with intention and, if you wish, wrapped in custom book jackets designed around your style. Executives, attorneys, authors and advisors trust us with the background their clients see first, as do professionals furnishing a new home office and designers completing custom bookshelves for a client who wants them filled beautifully and meaningfully.

What We Create

A collection curated around your profession, your passions and the authors you admire. It can be presented in custom book jackets designed for you, in the original publisher's jackets, or with no jackets at all. You are not limited to the examples shown, because every library is curated from the beginning.

The Process

1. Begin with a deposit. Click "Get Started with a Deposit" and proceed to checkout.
2. We reach out within 2 business days to discuss the number of books you would like and your design preferences.
3. Curation and design. A curator researches book availability and, if you choose custom jackets, a designer creates an initial concept. This typically takes 1 to 2 weeks.
4. Your proposal. We present a proposal and initial Design Concept outlining the total cost and lead time.
5. Approval. If you accept, we send an invoice before acquiring the books and finalizing the design. Your deposit is deducted from the project estimate.

Deposit Policy

Please note that the deposit is non-refundable, as it covers our labor to research books and prepare design concepts.

FAQs

Does Juniper Custom build the bookshelves?
We do not build shelving. Juniper Custom curates the books that fill the bookshelves you already have or are having built, and, if you choose, designs custom book jackets to give the collection a unified look. If you are working with an interior designer, they are most welcome to join the conversation.

How many books will my shelves need?
As a guide, one linear foot of shelving holds approximately 10 standard-size books. We will discuss the size of your collection in our first conversation, including how much space you would like to leave for objects and art.

Can the library reflect my profession and interests?
That is very often the heart of it. We curate around your field, your passions and the authors you admire, so the library is not only beautiful but unmistakably yours.
