We curate Henry James collections in Everyman's Library hardcovers, with custom book jackets inspired by his childhood in New York City, the world that shaped his imagination ever after. Available titles may include The Portrait of a Lady, The Wings of the Dove, The Golden Bowl, The Bostonians, The Princess Casamassima and The Awkward Age; our team will confirm availability when you order. Your collection may wear our custom jackets, keep its publishers' jackets, or stand unjacketed. It is a library for the devoted reader of literary fiction, and a gift of rare discernment.
The Process
- Begin with a deposit. Click "Get Started with a Deposit" and proceed to checkout.
- We reach out within 2 business days to discuss the number of volumes, the titles you have in mind, and your design preferences.
- Curation and design. A curator researches availability while a designer develops initial concepts. This typically takes 1 to 2 weeks.
- Your proposal. We present an estimate and initial Design Concept outlining the full scope, cost and timeline.
- Approval. If you accept, we send an invoice before acquiring the books and producing any custom jackets.
Your deposit is deducted in full from the total project estimate.
Full Custom projects vary in cost and lead time depending on scope, title availability and design.
Please note that the deposit is non-refundable, as it covers our labor to research books and prepare design concepts.
