A truly personal library is one of the rarest spaces a home can hold. It is not a shelf gathered by chance, but a collection conceived with intention around your passions, your history and the room it will inhabit.

Building on more than two decades of library curation by our sister company, Juniper Books, we create bespoke libraries of 100 books or more. We curate rare first editions, contemporary literature, niche subjects, or a richly layered mix of all three. Your books may be presented as published, for a gathered-over-time feel; in custom book jackets that form a dramatic mural across the shelves; or in a considered combination of both. We go to great lengths to find the titles you want, and when a book exists only in paperback, hardcover binding is available through our leather binding service. Homeowners, collectors and the designers who work with them will find in us a partner for every detail.

The Process

1. Begin with a deposit. Click "Get Started with a Deposit" and proceed to checkout.
2. We reach out within 2 business days to discuss your title selections, the scale of your library and your design preferences, including anything from our portfolio that has caught your eye. Shelf elevations and photographs of your space are always welcome.
3. Curation and design. A curator researches book availability and, if you choose custom jackets, a designer creates an initial concept. This typically takes 1 to 2 weeks.
4. Your proposal. We present an estimate and initial Design Concept outlining the full scope, cost and timeline.
5. Approval. If you accept, we send an invoice before acquiring the books and producing any custom jackets.

Your deposit is deducted in full from the total project cost.

How do a custom book set, collection and library differ?
Scale and scope. A book set is an intimate project of one to ten volumes, a collection is more substantial, and a library is our most comprehensive offering, with 100 books or more.

Can the jackets create a mural across my library?
Yes. We have created libraries where custom jackets form a continuous mural across an entire wall of shelving, and where a single palette unifies hundreds of volumes.

How long does a custom library take?
