Every first of September, young witches and wizards gather at Platform Nine and Three-Quarters to board the Hogwarts Express for another year at school. Our design invites you aboard. Across the spines, the scarlet steam engine speeds through the Scottish countryside, picked out in gold metallic detail.
The set includes all seven novels in the British hardcover editions from Bloomsbury, the editions in which Harry's story first began. Nearly three decades on, it is a set for every reader who has dreamed of that journey, and a gift to treasure for the next generation to make it.

Why the U.K. editions?
The Bloomsbury editions are the original British publications, beginning with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the title the first book carries outside the United States.
What does the jacket design show?
The Hogwarts Express crossing the Scottish countryside, stretched across all seven spines and finished with gold metallic detailing.
Why does the train travel through Scotland?
Because that is where Hogwarts lies, somewhere in the Highlands, a long day's journey north from King's Cross. The sweeping hills and viaducts of the Scottish landscape have become inseparable from the image of the scarlet engine, and our design follows it on that journey from one spine to the next.
