This set gathers eight heirloom-quality volumes from the Library of America, wrapped in custom book jackets that carry the stars and stripes across the shelf. Displayed together, they make a proud and colorful tribute to the nation's writers. It is a natural centerpiece for a study or a library of American letters, and a gift with meaning for a graduate, a teacher or a new citizen.

What is the Library of America?
A nonprofit publisher of authoritative, beautifully made editions of America's greatest writing, printed on acid-free paper and sewn to last.
Why do eight volumes hold so much?
Library of America editions gather several works into each volume, often a writer's novels from a single period or a lifetime of poems and prose. As a result, these eight books contain dozens of novels, stories and poems, from Hurston's Their Eyes Were Watching God to Steinbeck's Cannery Row, making the set a far richer library than its size suggests.
