What Full Custom Means

A Juniper Custom full custom book set is a fully bespoke experience from first conversation to finished object. Working with sets of 1–10 books, our team collaborates closely with you at every stage — from identifying the perfect titles to designing jackets that realize your vision with precision and artistry. If a book exists, we will track it down. If it is only available in paperback, we will bind it for you. No detail is too specific, no vision too particular.

The Process

Getting started is simple. Click "Get Started with a Deposit" and proceed to checkout. Within 2 business days, our team will reach out to discuss your title selections and design preferences — including anything from our portfolio that caught your eye.

From there, you'll receive a comprehensive proposal and initial design concept outlining the full scope, cost, and timeline of your project. This stage typically takes 1–2 weeks, and the deposit paid today is deducted in full from your total project cost.

What kinds of books can I include in a full custom set?
The scope is genuinely wide. Clients come to us with everything from beloved childhood titles they want reimagined in a beautiful new jacket, to complete author collections, to thematic sets built around a passion, a place, or a period in history. If you can describe it, we can almost certainly build it — and if a title proves elusive or only exists in paperback, our team will find a way to make it work.

How involved will I be in the jacket design process?
As involved as you'd like to be. Some clients arrive with a clear aesthetic vision and specific references; others simply know they want something beautiful and trust our designers to lead the way. Either approach works beautifully in our hands. Our in-house design team is skilled at translating a feeling, a mood board, or a single inspiring image into a jacket concept that feels entirely right — and we don't present a final proposal until we're confident it does.

Is a full custom book set a good gift?
