A well-chosen book is one of hospitality's quietest luxuries: an invitation to linger in the lobby, settle into the bar, or feel at home in one's room. We curate and design libraries for hotels, restaurants and spas, drawing on two decades of installations by our sister company, Juniper Books. Collections can be both decorative and genuinely engaging, from local-interest and coffee table books to literary classics. For lobbies and common spaces, we also create book murals and installations that serve as color backdrops or striking focal points. Projects have included a bar transformed into a work of art at the Omni Louisville with Local Language Art, a lobby book mural at the Tennessean Hotel in Knoxville, and a play room installation with Local Language Art at the Gaylord Rockies.
The Process
- Begin with a deposit. Click "Get Started with a Deposit" and proceed to checkout.
- We reach out within 2 business days to discuss your spaces, the scale of the collection, and your design preferences.
- Curation and design. A curator researches availability while a designer develops initial concepts. This typically takes 1 to 2 weeks.
- Your proposal. We present an estimate and initial Design Concept outlining the full scope, cost and timeline.
- Approval. If you accept, we send an invoice before acquiring the books and producing any custom jackets or installations.
Your deposit is deducted in full from the total project estimate.
Full Custom projects vary in cost and lead time depending on scope, title availability and design.
Please note that the deposit is non-refundable, as it covers our labor to research books and prepare design concepts.
