Our curator researches the finest biographies, autobiographies, memoirs and histories to assemble a set or collection devoted to the figures, eras or causes that matter most to you. Books may wear custom jackets designed around your vision, their publishers' originals, or no jackets at all. It is a commission for the history lover, the family honoring a hero of its own, and the office or school library that wishes to inspire.
The Process
- Begin with a deposit. Click "Get Started with a Deposit" and proceed to checkout.
- We reach out within 2 business days to discuss the number of books, the figures or periods you would like represented, and your design preferences. You are not limited to the examples on this page.
- Research and design. A curator researches book availability while a designer creates initial jacket concepts, if desired. This typically takes 1 to 2 weeks.
- Your proposal. We present an estimate and initial design concepts outlining the full cost and timeline.
- Approval. If you accept, we send an invoice before acquiring the books and finalizing the design.
Your deposit is deducted in full from the total project estimate.
Full Custom projects vary in cost and lead time depending on scope and design.
Please note that the deposit is non-refundable, as it covers our labor to research books and prepare design concepts.
