A cover is the first thing a reader falls in love with. We recreate yours on a grand scale, designing custom jackets that carry your cover art or promotional imagery across the spines of many books, so that a shelf becomes a mural. It is a backdrop made for book signings, speaking engagements, bookstore displays, and the video interviews in which a bookshelf frames the speaker.
A display may be a single set no wider than one linear foot, or a larger collection spanning several shelves.
The Process
- Begin with a deposit. Click "Get Started with a Deposit" and proceed to checkout.
- We reach out within 2 business days to discuss the size of your display, the measurements of the shelf or bookcase where it will stand, and the design files we will need for your cover's fonts and colors.
- Your Design Concept. A designer prepares a concept, which we can render on a photograph of your own shelf. This takes up to one week.
- Your proposal. We present an estimate outlining the full cost and lead time.
- Approval. If you accept, we send an invoice before acquiring the books and producing the custom-printed jackets.
About the Books
The underlying books are gently used hardcovers of uniform height, standing approximately 9.5 to 10 inches tall. If your project calls for a different size, we will include it in your full proposal.
Full Custom projects vary in cost and lead time depending on scope and design.
Please note that the deposit is non-refundable; it will be deducted from your full project invoice.
