Which books are in the All Souls Trilogy?
The original trilogy comprises A Discovery of Witches, Shadow of Night and The Book of Life, which together tell the complete story of Diana Bishop and Matthew Clairmont.
Is this the complete All Souls series?
It is the original trilogy as first conceived. Harkness has since expanded the world with Time's Convert and The Black Bird Oracle. The complete five-volume series is available from our sister company, Juniper Books.
Why do the jackets feature the Sun and the Moon?
In alchemy, the union of the Sun and Moon, often called the chemical wedding, represents the joining of opposites into something greater than either. It is the quiet heart of Harkness's story, in which a witch and a vampire are drawn together against the laws of their worlds, and in which the enchanted manuscript Ashmole 782 guards the secrets of creation. The emblems carry that symbolism onto the shelf.
